KENT PLANET #6 | Just Imagine – Stan Lee’s Superman


On November 12, we received the sad news of Stan Lee’s death.

He created a bunch of Marvel’s characters (Spiderman, X-Men, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, etc.) Lee had a quick passage through DC, with the publication of the series  “Just Imagine” released in November 2001.
The serie showed how would be the DC characters if Lee had created them.Lee made versions of  Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Shazam, Aquaman, Justice League, and of course: Superman.
The version of Lee for Superman, with participation of the artist John Buscema, gained the name of Salden.
Salden was from the kryptonian police force and by capturing a dangerous criminal – in a teleportation laboratory-by accident, ends up coming with him to Earth.
The two discover that they have new powers like super strength and super speed.Seeing the problems of the planet, Salden decides to stay and turns into Superman. The Lee version of Superman, He doesn’t fly instead of it he jumps.
Just Imagine have had only 13 volumes,after that Lee come back to Marvel.
After the release of the movie Batman v Superman, with Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, Lee responded in an interview, who was his favorite in battle:
Superman, I think. He’s indestructible, he can do anything, and Batman assures himself in just a few guns.” If that were real, a fight between Superman and Batman, Batman could by no means win.”

Lee died at age 95 in Los Angeles after being taken to hospital for a medical emergency, but his legacy will be eternal in the world of superheroes and entertainment.
